I just had to share this as it knocked me brainless. See what this young gorgeous girl, Lauren Caitlin Upton (Miss South Carolina), answeres when asked: Why one 5th of Americans (20%) can't locate the US on a World Map?
'Cause they ain't got no maps, why else?

She's blonde, she's beautiful and these two say a lot. And I think the poor girl was rather nervous too. It's not easy to be the first, I've been there myself ;)
I also think her 'staff' told her to talk about the 'hot topics' any Miss mentions no, matter what. Before it was: protecting the environment, ending world hunger and poverty and fighting diseases.
I think hot topics now include Iraq, South Affrica and Asia. So she had to put these into context for guaranteed success and she did pretty well from my point of view.
As SEO say it:She got damn good keyword density!
" Well, I don't think Americans can find America on a world map because:
- they have no world maps (US is big enough trouble alone)
- because they only need to know where other countries are to attack easier
I also think the better future of our children depends on teaching Americans to locate their country on maps so they know where to return if they get lost abroad and this way keep the country from loosing entire population!
Personally I believe every American will feel like Cristopher Columbus when they will eventually discover the US on the world map!
I think for now US is only marked as "DO NOT ATTACK HERE" on the world maps made in US. They should change this as people are puzzled!"
