Yesterday I posted something about Dragons & Cars. I won't say here again what I said there so before you go on please read that. It's short and mandatory to understanding the next statements. Let's proceed …
The concept we have to grasp based on that is quite simple: Anything goes! Don't get me wrong here. I mean any online marketing idea you might have will have more / less demand. Any product, any service you can think of can have customers, more or less as long as you manage to find them. Exposure!
Many marketers mistake thinking that their idea will never apply to the real world. The real world is sick, twisted, has unexpected reactions and deep fears and desires. If Dragons & Cars are popular, just imagine how many of your older ideas, that were never considered viable might really work. Don't think as you think, think as the MOB!
In theory demand creates offer. The truth is this applies the other way around also. How many times have you seen something you never thought of or needed but you instantly wanted it? And do't lie! The offer created my / your need. The only thing and real work is to get your offers, services, ideas out in front of as many people as possible and it will work. But this is your dayjob? Exposing!
It's easy. Make it expensive, price it just below the fold (xxx.99 whatever), add a big label, wrap it up nicely and appeal to hidden fears, desires and weaknesses of human kind and you will still have a hit. Sell 2 at the price of 1 and people will buy it just because it's a bargain not because they need it. Buyer psychology is scary but has to be taken into consideration. They think with their wallet.
If you had ideas you overlooked or gave up on think about them again. You might be surprised what you can achieve if you expose your thing to enough people.
More on this to come soon!
