If you don't, let me refresh your memory first. The text blender is a simple function that can produce variations of text based on simple patterns. So if you give it a text like:

1stword {option1|option2|option3} last-word

it will pick one option from the choice block and return something like:

1stword option2 last-word
Where do I use this?

You can use this in link exchange, manual comment spamming or any application where you need very similar variations of text. Let's say you do link exchange for your weight loss site and you make up a link exchange phrase like this:

Mysite.com is the {best|most {detailed|easy to use|complete}} website about weight loss {methods|techniques|products|pills|herbs}.

In the previous textblender you will see there are 3 block choices. First it will choose one of : {detailed|easy to use|complete} then one of {methods|techniques|products|pills|herbs} and then one of {best|most #CHOICE1#}. I think you get the picture on how it works!

This can even be used for content generation. Write a few paragraphs and generate several pages.

What does this software do?

It does magic:) It allows you to build and record 10 different textblends within its interface. And then you can activate any of the textblends (clicking it's tab number or pressing ALT+# where #=0-9) and use the INSERT key to simply automagically type that text anywhere you can type using your keyboard. The 10 choices get saved when you close it and reload when you open it. It has tooltips to help you use it better. And it's not limited in any way.

When it looses focus the application goes transparent so you can see better where you type and goes opaque when you click it back in focus.

Below you can see a demo. I made a few small changes from this demo video (allowing you to press Alt+0-9 at any time to make active tab change) but you can get an idea of what you're getting.

To install just extract both files into the same folder (name it 5ubliminal for me) and run it. To close it click the X or right click tray-icon and click exit!

The software uses the Clipboard to store raw blends. So do not rely on it while the tool is running. The raw blend is pasted to Clipboard and then a different blend is pasted on Insert-press.

Why did I write this and why do I share it?

hey 5ubliminal, been reading your site for a while. I got here from slightlyshadyseo somehow, i think he plugged you as one of the only blogs he reads. anyway, i downloaded your tool and it seems pretty cool.

1 improvement that would be cool (I don't know if there are already lots of programs that do this) is a combination with a thesaurus. If you were to include only 1 word in your brackets, ie "This is the {text} you want to {blend|mix up}." then for "text" you could do a thesaurus replace, while keeping the standard replace going for blend/mix up. seems like that would allow for greater variation for words that arent critical to the meaning.

it would also make the app more ponderous though, including a thesaurus with it somehow.

anyway, thanks for the app.

There is a problem in such an approach. You could replace a word with any matching part of speech but … what about related words?
If you had related words (:) I kind'of do but it's not free material) what do you do with parts of speech matching? Writing your own variations ensures gramatically correct articles and most article directories submissions are reviewed manually.
If you mess up a part of speech and replace a verb with a noun then I would say the text would sound at least funny. But as a manual reviewer I would disregard such gramtically challenged article.

Let's say {love} is a noun and verb! And you add {love}. The end result could replace this with {friendship} as noun or {hate} as verb. And you have I {love} you. What if this get's replaced with I {friendship} you! That would not look so great. So deeper sentence analysis would be required. There are cases when you bump into words that are always nouns or verbs and it is easier to handle them, but most are shape-shifters.

So there are not really easy challanges to overcome:
- get thesaurus of related words (not easy for free)
- 'understand' the part of speech type of the replaced word (can be done)
- match forms (rather easy)

But the above ingredients really look like commercial tool ingredients :)

PS: If you got an easier idea that can overcome gramatically messing your text … let me know. I'm willing to implement any easy solution and share it for free as long as I see it in the freeware registry.

It's a standard syntax of server side article spinners.

If you want a certain phrase, sentences, or paragraphs to be to be included in a random order, use the following format:
{order:delimiter:mintimes:maxtimes:Word1|Word2|Word3}

e.g.
{order:, : 3:10:1|2|3|4|6¡6|7|8|9|10}
will randomly output 3-10 numbers between 1-10, comma separated. Numbers aren't repeated.

This is very useful to further mask out content by shuffling coheras (text snippets, paragraphs).
