Before you hear what I have to say do take a look at it here! It's rather long, about 1hour, but it's worth watching and thinking about it. Then read what I have to say an tell me if you feel the same way too?
I hope that, as you read this paragraph you are done watching The Shocking Video and we can carry a monologue about it ;) (I was planning to say dialogue but, as people don't run each other over to comment here, I feel I'll do all the talking.)
John Reese states that you don't have to have had a personal success story to teach online money making (you can just be an affiliate and talk stuff you know sheet about) and the biggest market out there is of online money makers. So he just enourages everybody to start their money making business while knowing squat about it!
Foreplay: Do remeber that this is my personal take on this. You should make your own opinion and only view my next statements as a point of view and not a certain fact.
It's a world full of cons. Everywhere you turn around there's a miracle waiting to happen and for $?.99 somebody can make that miracle happen for you. But are there real magicians in this world? Are there really people who can make it happen? I think there are but they are too few to mention and it never happens over night!
My #1 Hypothesis is that John Reese decided, along with his fellow internet marketers to encourage everyone to pose as an online money making guru and sell their info-products as affiliates. This way they get a lot of people to work for them for free. It's an online sweatshop:)
My #2 Hypothesis is a lot more interesting!
Let's say you are John Tease! And John Tease is already a household name in the world of online marketing. All he ever thinks of is making money and figuring out new ways to sell his multi-thousand dollar conferences and webinars and … info-products (dreams).
Now this John Tease guy notices increasing competition in his line of work. More and more skilled people come out of nowhere and make his life harder. And it's getting tougher to survive out there … especially now when I have unleashed my knowledge upon you :)
So he sets aside with his fellow internet money making gurus and decides to make a plot and get rid of competition. As they were brain storming they come up with the following metaphor.
Let's say the internet is a field with mountains and a while ago it had only a few diamonds sparkling located on the very peaks of those mountains. Those diamonds, as they were here for ever, lit the way of many of those venturing into the inter-wilderness and have grown to be trusted guidance points.
With the latest tectonic movements some more diamonds have came out of the ground and can be seen shining. And their numbers slowly increas. They threaten the original beacons of knowledge and counter-measures have to be taken.
Along with the new diamonds, on the ground, lies a lot of rubble. A lot of worthless, meaningless stones that have passed not noticed by those seeking guidance from the shiny diamond peaks. Actually those stones have made the path more difficult to follow.
So how could the elder rays of enlightment silence the new emerging guides once and for all? It is easy!
In their evil plot to ensure their rule over the internet they decided to enourage of those meaningless stones to pose as shiny diamonds on the ground along with the new emerging ones. The rubble painted itself shiny and mislead a lot of those who ventured into the inter-wilderness. The ground was so shiny that everyone had to lift their eyes back high, into the sky, where the elder guides were to be seen and trusted again as their were in the ancient times!
This way the new diamonds were pushed back a lot and the trust of those seeking guidance in them decreased and, eventually, those new turned back to rubble and dust not having a chance to reveal their true potential.
Enouraging everybody to become a money making guru they are diluting the quality of the offer and soon, demand will simply turn their heads back to those who have a pedigree in online money making. I don't know if you have seen Anger Management but Jack Nickolson tells Adam Sandler while talking about Marisa Tomei:
Let her meet others. When she'll see the creeps out there she'll come crawling back to you!
I would say this (more or less) quote sums it all up. Place the customers in front of a lot of bad choices and, eventually, they'll go back to the proven ones and it will be much harder for anyone new to make a brand of itself!
A lot more work will need to be put in gaining confidence of people and many more will give up ensuring the hegemony of the elder!
Or maybe I've just been talking nonsense this whole page and any broke dude can talk about making money online. So you should flame me now using the comment form below:)
Regards!
